Wayfinder is pleased to accept new clients. Currently only Florida and Texas residents are eligible for assessment and psychotherapy services through virtual visits.
Dr. Sarah Barron, clinical psychologist and owner of Wayfinder, has over ten years of licensed experience working with a variety of mental health concerns. In addition to providing direct care, Dr. Barron has spent years providing training, supervision, and mentoring to other mental health professionals.
Clinical Specialties:
While an individualized treatment plan can be designed to address many types concerns and symptoms, current expertise are in the following areas:
- Population Served: Adults, ages 18 and up
- Types of Counseling: Individual and group psychotherapy focusing on evidence-based treatments within a cognitive behavioral therapy model
- Types of concerns: Wayfinder specializes in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other related disorders. Additional areas of expertise include anxiety disorders, such as panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, depressive disorders, mild to moderate substance use disorders, and adjustment to life stressors.
What to Expect:
Professional contact begins with a free, 15-minute consultation via telephone call (video consultation available by request). During this brief consultation, your main reasons for seeking care will be discussed to determine if we are a good fit. If so, you will be scheduled for a full intake appointment. Virtual visits are designed to work around typical business hours to better fit your schedule. Most courses of treatment last between 4-12 clinical visits, depending on individual needs.

- 25-min. brief intevention visits - $100
- 50-min. psychotherapy sessions - $150
- 90-min. psychotherapy sessions (necessary for some trauma treatment) - $175

Consulting
Wayfinder consulting services are aimed at assisting hospitals, clinics, or individual administrators with a variety of challenges including employee support and rehabilitation, organizational culture, implementation of new policy or processes, and leadership training. As your consultant, Wayfinder will help design an individualized plan to assist your organization in meeting desired goals. We are well versed with an implementation science approach, taking systematic action to facilitate desired outcomes. Our consultants have extensive experience with organizational support, ranging from executive leadership levels to frontline staff. In particular, we have expertise with building integrated care systems that help recognize mental and behavioral health factors as an integral part of routine healthcare. Moreover, our consultants can assist with breaking down discipline and department silos, enhancing stakeholder communication and collaboration, improving employee satisfaction/retention, and reducing organizational vulnerabilities.
The consultation process will begin with a free 15-minute meeting to discuss your organizational needs and determine if our services may be a good fit. From there, we will design a consultation plan spelling out the type of services you may require and your desired consultation budget.
COACHING
Wayfinder coaching services are open to all individuals via virtual appointments. Coaching is aimed at assisting individuals to enhance their performance. This could include performance goals such as increasing individual productivity, enhancing people skills, reducing performance-related nerves, building confidence, finding new approaches to solve problems, and using criticial thinking/behavioral skills to achieve new personal bests.
Despite our background as licensed clinical psychologists, coaching is a special type of practice that is not psychotherapy or any form of clinical treatment. Coaching is a more informal process that is aimed at helping you to find inspration, develop your passions, and perform to your best possible abilities. Coaching can useful on an "as-needed" basis or through ongoing visits. You will design the type of coaching you need and we will be there in your corner. We are pleased to assist clients from any background, but can provide special insights for musicians, artists, athletes, and managers.
